Welcome

My Integrative Therapy London offers private psychotherapeutic support to children, adolescents and their families providing confidential one-to-one sessions with the child or young person, parent-child sessions and parent work sessions with parents or carers within a trauma-informed, neuro-divergent and culturally sensitive perspective.

Integrative psychotherapy provides a relational evidence based framework to help children and young people who might be experiencing emotional, social and/or behavioural difficulties by integrating complementary psychotherapeutic approaches.

As an integrative psychotherapist, I offer a welcoming non-judgemental environment and make use of  creative therapeutic interventions to facilitate a  safe exploration of your child's difficulties.  I work collaboratively with parents and carers in order to bring about a holistic understanding of the young person's unique needs well as existing strengths that will promote empathy and build resilience.

If you are looking for a supportive space for your child to explore their difficulties or for yourself as a parent or carer to gain a better understanding of your child, please do not hesitate to contact me for an initial consultation free of charge.

What can integrative psychotherapy help with?

Psychotherapy offers children and young people a safe space to express, explore and understand themselves better and process difficult experiences in a non-judgmental contained environment.

We can offer support with:

Separations and significant life changes

Transitions ( schools, secondary school, college, university, relocation )

Cultural identity and cross cultural issues

Symptoms of anxiety and depression

Bereavement and loss

Self-harm and suicidal ideation

Oppositional and aggressive behaviour

Traumatic experiences which might be related to physical, sexual and/or emotional abuse or isolated overwhelming events

Intellectual disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention-Deficit/ Hyperactivity Disorder, Neurodivergence

Eating difficulties and disorders; including Anorexia, Bulimia, Binge Eating, Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake (ARFID) and Other Specified Feeding or Eating Disorder (OSFED)

If I am not able to offer the appropriate support for your child, I will aim to refer you to another professional who might be better suited to help with your particular needs.

Also, if your child is seeing another professional ( psychiatrist, mental health nurse, occupational therapist) or accessing a specific type of service, I am happy to assess how therapy could work alongside these types of support.

Child / Adolescent Individual Sessions

Support for parents

Sessions tailored for mothers, fathers, parents and carers to gain a better understanding of the relationship with their child and develop ways to continue helping them with their development.

This can be a space to find support to deal with your child's current difficulties in a healthier manner, identify existing strengths and improve relationships. It is also a space to reflect on your parenting journey and process traumatic events which you might be aware of but have not had the time or opportunity to look at properly.

Some areas parent sessions can help with are:

Birth trauma and peri-natal mental health

Intergenerational trauma

Loss and bereavement

Dealing with a child's medical condition, procedure or diagnosis ( physical, psychological or psychiatric )

Adoption

Understanding a child's or relative's autism and/ or other presentations of neurodivergence

Understanding oppositional behaviour and outbursts

Relationship breakdowns and divorce
